Red Hills Ride and Turkey Feast, January 1, 2010

We celebrated the New year with a bracing ride at Red Hills, near Chinese Camp, in Tuolumne County. Rudy Dezzani deep-fried a turkey.

Competitive Trail Ride, Woodward Reservoir, April 3, 2010

We took part in a competitive trail ride, sanctioned by the American Competitive Trail Horse Association, April 3, 2010 at Woodward Reservoir. A competitive trail ride sets typical trail obstacles in front of a horse and rider. They compete to see who can surmount the challenges the quickest.

Spring Camp Out, Mother Lode Ranch, April 16 - 18, 2010

We had a fine time camping out at Don and Laurel Rumsey's Mother Lode Ranch in the spring of 2010. Classes, rides, children's activities, and wonderful Dutch oven dinners.

Turlock High LNT and Packing Demo, May 21, 2010

Mid Valley members Michael King, Dave Moser and Dennis Serpa spent the day demonstrating LNT (Leave No Trace) camping, wilderness ethics, basic packing techniques and dutch oven cooking to appreciative audiences in seven classes, for a total of 200+ students, at Turlock High on May 21, 2010.
